It has been almost a month since I have blogged last.  This week I have time on my hands because I have  salmonella poisoning.  Hopefully I will feel well enough to go to work part of Thursday and Friday and then I am on vacation.  I had to make a hard decision because next week my grandchildren will coming up.  Since I want be up to handling all of them I knew that I would have to cancel.  It was a very hard decision but when you are sick as I am, I knew that I did not have a choice.  I have been planning for this weeks, for many months.  I wanted the grandkids to have a good a time as when their PaPa was here last year.  I knew that the weather was hot but I think all the parents were relieved that I had canceled the week. It is not so much the money that I have already spent getting ready for this week but with everyones busy schedule I had to realize that this opportunity would not come along again.  I will have to make each week-end I have with them to count.  I have been on Pintrest for weeks marking everything that I wanted to do with them.  I can just do a few crafts each time they come to see me. I will continue to Pin looking for the new ideas.
My pictures was taken at work Monday.  I wore my new outifit that Christy had helped me pick out and that was Mike and Gina's mothers day gift card.  I got several things that day because I don't know how to shop but Christy sure does. I felt pretty all day.

It was Roger's idea.  Christy come up by herself for the week-end.  It was great.  We went out to eat Friday night and then on to the play "Peter Pan" at the new Art center on the High school campus. Saturday we got up and went yard selling and back home for a much needed nap.  We got up and headed to the mall in Fort Smith.  Got home at 10:15.  Christy had overdone since her surgery was only five weeks past.  She headed home in the morning.  I took a nap and then ate the bad food.  Not a lot but enough to almost put me in the hospital yesterday.  I had to cancel everything, my girld friends where coming over tomorrow to play "Apple to Apples" then I had a crop week-end planned.  Well next month will be better.

The day in the life of a model

The day in the life of a model.

To start out I went to work Monday morning and worked until 1:30.  At that time I left work and headed to the Rock House Salon for a hairdo and facial.  I had a wonderful time being pampered.

My hair looked great and so was the makeup.  You should have seen my eyes they sparkled.  These ladies donated their talents to make this all possible. Then off to the best photographer, Steve Newby.
They had planned for me to wear silver  jewelery, but when I got there with my jewelery, they decided on the gold so guess what, no gold hearing.  Mr. Newby decided no earrings, I was kind of sad because I like dangling earrings.  I did get to wear my cremation necklace.

I could not figure out how to rotate these two pictures when I imported them.  I am posing and had lots of help to make sure everything was  just right.

My part is now done.  I wrote my story, had my hair done, had my makeup applied and did my best to do just what Mr. Newby want.  Big smile, lean closer, turn you head, no that is to much, now the other side.  I did my best and I hope Mr Newby does his best, because I don't like getting my picture taken and I am never satisfied with how I look.

You by now are thinking, "what is going on?" I was honored when Pink Ribbon Boutique ask me to be one of the 12 calendar girls,  Angels 2013.  Not sure what month I am going to be but I can't wait to see the results of all the hard work done from everyone behind the scene made this afternoon very special and for a good cause.  The calendars will go on sale in October for $10.00 and all of the money goes to Relay For Life.  How special can that be.
