Collections, I have heard if you have three of anything it must be collection. If that is the case I have several collections.
I love hats and I have more than three. In fact I have 10 hats. I wear them to play, to work, to shop, to travel and to church. They are fun and I love the compliments that I get from my hats.

I bought this one at Cathy’s Florist and I get compliments on it every time I wear it. When friends ask they can’t believe that I bought it at a florist shop.

I bought several hats when I was in the Red Hat Society several years ago. It was a lot of fun because several girls here at work formed a group and we went out once a month. We wore red hats and purple outfits and under forty ladies wore pink hats. We had a great time. We even took in a musical in Little Rock where one of our Red Hatters daughter was performing.

I wore a ski mask during our last snow when we went four-wheeler riding. Not my favorite but it sure did a good job.
I also have a fishing hat. It does take care of my nose and ears but it does not make me a better fishermen.

I love to collect, so I have a lot of collections.

THOUGHTS

A year has passed and I am cancer free.  I have had my ups and downs but I want to say more ups than downs.  Somewhere around November I turned the corner.  I felt better this Christmas season than I have in a long time.  I am not what God made me but he understands and that is all that matters.

Not judging anyone else's situation I have been blessed to have walked through this cancer beccause I did not have to do chemo or radiation.  I am very blessed.

I am so excited.  I got my new license plate  today and it has a pink ribbon on it.  I am helping find a cure for cancer.

REFLECTIONS

One morning after my walk I looked in the mirror  and the mirror looked back at me.  My thoughts were, I will never be the same.  That is sad.  Even though I am glad I am cancer free it still makes me sad.  Dr. Jacob asked me if I was attached to my breast and I said only physical not mentally.  Well I was wrong, I was mentally also.  I woke up during the night a few weeks ago and while half asleep I grieved over leaving my breast at the hospital.  Crazy I know but just the same I felt that way.  Sad, very sad.

PILLOWS

Two weeks after surgery I got a heart shape pillow from my doctor that was made by volenteers for breast cancer patients.  This pillow fit right under my arm and it felt so great to have that pressure against by body.  Two weeks later I got a little square pillow given to me.  I also used a baby pillow with my baby pillow case that my mother had made..  It was funny when I got ready to go to bed I gathered all my pillows in case I might need them during the night.  For several weeks I continued to use my pillows.
