My sister is why I still strive to take pictures and look for the unusual.  She is always seeing hearts every where.  I found one for her.

I got out a day that I was staying at Mike's house.  It had rained and my sister had told me that we really didn't know how many spiders were there in the woods.  I was shocked at all the spider webs that I saw.
Here is a heart for you, sis.

Florida - 2013

Mike, Gina and then kids took me to my birthday at my choice of sea food places.  I picked a dump that really looked speciously under code.  I said let's try it.  We did and it was great.  The best ever.  Mike and I ordered a steamed pot, Dylan ordered a fish dinner, Aida french fries.  Gina didn't order anything.  She is not a sea food person and the place didn't look to clean.  Mike and I would recommend the place anytime Denny Destin's.  It was out door dining and it started to rain.  The guys came by and lowered large windows.  Then it quit raining.  It was a lot of fun.  Hope you enjoy the décor of the restaurant.

The windows are open and breeze is blowing in.  It felt so good.  I liked the napkin holder.  It is a clay pot painted sea foam green.  It was really nice because they brought the kids food quickly.
This was my birthday lunch.  About 2 1/2 dozen shrimp, new potatoes and corn.  Aida has decided she wanted my corn on the cob so it was hot and I am trying to get it out for her.  Mike had to finish my shrimp.  I could not eat all of mine.

This is a look down the outside of the building.

This is the on the water side.

Then as we left, Gina got her camera out and so I had to take a picture also.
They didn't spend a lot of money on out door decor.  I guess when you have the bay as a back drop you don't need to spend a lot of money on such trivial stuff.

Thanks Mike and Gin for a great lunch, a numbered print to hang on my wall and a green hose that shrinks.
I have not blog very much and I have not taken all the pictures that I took last years  Some are at the same places with the kids doing the same thing.  I have tried to get a sun set each day, but I will try again tonight.
The sun set is to the right and the glow is coming through clouds.  There was no setting of the sun.  Darks clouds almost every night.

Sand, white sand.  Every where you look you see God's beauty.  Couldn't resist this photo.

Gina wanted the their picture with their Razorback clothes on.  Me I had on something comfortable.

The weather has not been the best in the world but on vacation you can just enjoy being away from your job.  Mike's family went down to the pools. they have not been gone very long when in pops Mike and they forgotten Aida's goldfish.  (you know the kind in a bag and they are real cheesy).
We will be traveling back tomorrow. Florida is a nice place to visit but I would not want to live here.

We are here. Here in Florida.  We got here around 2:00, went and bought groceries and then we got in the condo at 4:00.  I took 26 pictures before dark last night.

I went to sleep before I could post.  Today is Tuesday morning and we got to the beach just in time to leave because of the rain.  I will try to post some pictures.  I am watching Scooby Doo with Aida.

I am standing on our patio look out at the ocean.  Clouds were dark and then rain came.

I forgot to take my cover up off.  Now it is to late.  Aida held her dad's pinky all the time in the water. Gina and I watched Dylan
Not a good picture of the sunset. To many clouds.

Headed to the big one.  Dylan loves the ocean.  He would have gone out to far and never realized it.

We are looking for shells.  We walked almost to the pier last night. Wonderful to be at the beach, even though we have to work around the rain.

In my own backyard.

Sometimes we feel we have to travel a very long distance to find something neat to do but that is not the case when you live where I live.  Mom saw an article in her local paper and when she and dad came up yesterday we visited the Potts Inn Museum after lunch.  I loved the time I had with my parents.  What a wonderful day.

This two story inn was built by Kirkbride Potts and was built in 1850 by  the Potts family slaves.  It took five years to build and the Butterfield line had just started carrying mail and messengers from St. Louis through Arkansas all the way to San Francisco.

Jessica, a college student was our tour guide was very knowledgeable and very patience with three old folks.

Oil lamp chandelier was found in one of the main living areas.  One room for the ladies and one room for the men. The rooms were filled with furniture and items either from the Potts family or from that era.  It was hard to decided on what pictures to post when I think I took over 50.

If I get to go back I will take pictures of the description that was written out in each room.

I love quilts so I took pictures of the quilts that were in the four bedrooms that at one time held four full size beds.  If you had traveled my yourself you would probably be sleeping with a stranger that you would have met on your journey out West.

Crazy quilt of all types of fabric

A traditional nine patch

Even though this quilt was the most worn, the pattern is the log cabin and the fabric was all of silk.

The rooms were set up with time period items.

Mother is standing by an old clock on the landing at the top of the stairs going up to the second story.

The top trunk  was original to the Inn.

The picture  is done in stitching that is called crewel.  Stitch after stitch combined to make a beautiful arrangement of flowers.  Can't imagine how many hours the picture took to complete.
In one of the bedrooms the wall has been cut out to show how they were made.  Small strips of wood and then plastered over.  Jessica, our guide told us that the house had never had termites. That is so amazing.

We have just began the tour but I will tell the rest of the story another day.  I don't want you to get bored before you get to the end of the blog so I will finish up later.

I have not blogged in a while but guess what I worked on my Blog look. I will now try to remember how to down load pictures.

Well it is one hour later and I can't remember. I have put the pictures in a file and now I can't find them.  Oh, well I will try again another day.

One week ago today MaKara, Jayee and I went down to Piney Bay and I had a chance to take a lot of pictures of two beautiful young girls.  I just want to post so you could see that we did have a great time.

After the rain.

I have been so busy the last few weeks but when I look back I have not gotten much accomplished.  I did go out after a big rain and found water in our creek.  Can you believe the photo above is from our creek.   Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's and Valentine's Day have come and gone.

I am still having trouble changing the pics to 800 for my blog.  I don't want to save them at 800.

As soon as I remember I will post more pictures.
