Christy brought three of her children up here to spend the week-end with me. We had so much fun.
We did a photo shoot Sunday afternoon. These are always good times. I am learning about my camera and MaKara gets to poise a lot. Beautiful subject to have in my shots.
Can you tell that Reed is the King of the rock. We worked really hard to open the woods for our Zip line and for the 4 wheeler trails. Not finished yet but we got a good head start.
We cleared a pretty good path down the hill. We all had a good time but now we are paying for it. Christy and I both got into to much pollen.
Running is the only speed these two kids know. Tylar is holding on to her hat.
Not bad for just a few hours work. We raked, cut vines and stickers down and trimmed limbs hanging over the trail.
Here is another photo shot. I am not sure what they are looking at but it must have been interesting.
Wind blowing and shadows across the face of a young girl contemplating her future, or just posing for the camera. Whatever.
We walked down to the creek bed and then on to the dirt road. It is a climb going back up this hill. Doesn't seem to bother the young ones though, just me. I am huffing and puffing but I made it.
When I look back at all the pictures I took I failed to get one of Christy. Maybe next time.

Neat week-end
It is Friday night and I am remembering last weekend with my oldest son, his wife and two children. I got to spend Saturday night with them for the first time. I took my queen size blow up matress and we put it Presley's bedroom and the two kids and I slept in the same room. It was a lot of fun. Lance was able to get home early and Tiffany had a great supper for us. We played two board games and watched some TV. Sunday morning I slept until 9:00 which is really strange for me. We had a good morning and Lance was able to come in early that day also so I got to spend some good time with his family. We are doing it again.
I am learning to play Shuts and Ladders. We played two games.
I look dumb but I was really having trouble. It is a four legged animal, that you can find at the zoo and it was not a hippo. After several turns I can't remember it I got it or not. I will have to ask the kids.
I needed this sign when I had my kids and home. Liked the rules. Just call out a number and they can tell you which one it is. So funny.

Lance showed me an experient with Cornstarch and water that he does for the kids. It was neat.
We are playing another game. I forgot the name of this game but it sure was fun.
Tiffany help Presley with the clues because she need a little help.

Birthday Card for PaPa
The last day of Janurary Tiffany remembered that Dennis' birthday was going to be the next day, Feb. 1 When Blake and Presley learned that Papa's birthday was the next day they decided to make him a Birthday Cards. The cards were really precious.
Dennis' ern is on the mantel and so they put the cards beside him.
Sometimes they put Dennis on the coffee table to watch a movie with him. It is so neat.

Strange Sky
We had a very strange sky last night. Look at the colors and then notice the sun, yes that is the sun, I got several shots. Before I got my camera the sun was a blazing fire ball that we could see. As the time passed it was less brilliant.

Running around
I have had a couple of great week-ends. Last week-end I went to Dad and Mom's for lunch with my brother, his wife and my sister. I left there around 3:30 to make Tylar's birthday party, in Bauxite. We had a good time. She had gotten her bangs cut and she looks so grown up.
Tylar does not like for you to sing "Happy Birthday" to her so her mom sang a different Birthday Song. So cute.
I bought her a pink ruffle back pack. She was so excited because she packs a bag everyday to go to her great grand mother's house.
I left Christy's and then went back to mom's until around 7:30 and then I drove to Mike's for the night. Aida had already gone to bed and Dylan and I worked four puzzels. He was better at it than I am. I didn't give Dylan's birthday present until Sunday morning and he was not sure what it was.
It was a ball, bat and T. We had a really good time Sunday morning.
Aida loved rocking in Dylan's chair. She is growing up fast.
I got home early enough to take a nap. It was a good week-end.

Valentine's Day is a time we reflect on the special people in our life that we love. We should tell those special people every day but we get so busy with life that we do not stop and take the time and then it becomes to late. I don't want to look back and wish I had said the words; "I love you", more.
It has been a day of mixed emotions. I have a lot to be thankful for so I want to dwell on the positive. I miss Dennis very much and days like today are hard to get through. Dennis wasn't one to spend money on flowers. I do remember that I usually got a corsage on Mother's Day. When Walmart had their flowers for sale at the DC he was always bringing a bouquet home at night and I would find them in a vase in the sink waiting for me to get up of a morning. I would trim them up and put them back in a vase to enjoy here at home.
Since Dennis and I had gotten back together, which had been 13 years it was the little things that meant a lot to me. When I had arm surgery he would bring me my coke, pop the top each morning. When I got the cast off and went back to work, he continued to bring me my coke and pop the top, even though I could do it by myself.
I mentioned the 13 years. There are a lot of marriages that don't last 13 years but ours did the first time and and the second time; if God had not taken him we would have had many more years together.
MaKara had a project to do for school so we spent Friday evening and most of the day Saturday putting together a scrapbook. MaKara wrote a fiction story about real events during the Alaskian gold rush. Christy was on her computer finding us documentation and I was getting everything into the scrapbook. It was a lot of fun but I sure was tired when we got through.
After we got through with the album, MaKara took one more look at it before I left. I had a great time and hope I get another chance to help with a project, but that really depends on what kind of grade we get. She maybe looking for some one else next time. Want matter because the memories have already been made.
I will post some birthday pictures next time. Sorry I forgot to reduce the pixcels. I will do better next time. I need to blog more often and then I would remember how to do it.
Have a Happy Valentine's evening.
